Users and Permissions

ParseDoc does not have organizations or roles across the entire account. Collaboration is handled by sharing individual folders, which can be found in Settings → Folder Management.

What It Looks Like in Practice

Each collaborator has their own account (login via Google). You share the folder with them at the necessary level, and they work within it. Credits are paid by the owner of the folder. Only accounts on a paid plan can share.

I wantSolution
External accountant to review and confirmShare the folder at the Review Documents level
Colleague to upload and clean upShare at the Full Access level
Owner to view documentsShare at the Read-Only level

What Sharing Can't Do

  • Share the entire account at once. Folders are shared one by one, each to at most five people.
  • Assign rights to individual functions. There are three fixed levels.
  • Create a shared pool of credits among multiple accounts.
  • Send an invitation via email. Guests will learn about it upon logging in, or via Telegram if it is connected.

Accepted Invitations

Folders that someone has shared with you will appear in the window immediately after logging in. Accepting the invitation will display the folder among your folders with a badge indicating who shared it. Hiding the window will cause it to disappear; however, the invitation remains recorded, and the owner can see that you have hidden it.

Revoking Access

Immediate. The revoked user will lose access to the folder and its documents. Any documents they managed to download will of course remain with them.
